Woodland Planning Grant

Purpose

Woodland Planning Grant (WPG) contributes to the cost of producing a management plan, which is the foundation of sustainable woodland management. The plan identifies the existing value of the woodland (economic, environmental and social) and the owner’s objectives. From this, the plan then sets out how the woodland will be managed in the short and long term.

Using the template provided, an approved plan will help owners to certify their woodland through the UK Woodland Assurance Standard. It also enables owners to access other sources of funding.
